Cleansing Range by Method
1. Water-Only Cleansing: Removing surface water-soluble impurities
It removes water-soluble waste such as dust, sweat, saliva, and tears that sit on the skin's surface.
Sebum or oily components from skincare products secreted overnight are not removed. Since water repels oily areas, it only washes the outermost layer of the skin.
This method is beneficial for maintaining Natural Moisturizing Factors (NMF) and beneficial skin bacteria.
2. Foam and Soap Cleansing: Removing oil-based impurities
Surfactants wash away oxidized sebum and waste created when makeup oil, dust, and sebum mix. It removes oil from the skin surface and sebum trapped in pore openings.
However, thorough rolling or using a cleansing brush is necessary to clean deep within skin folds and pore curvatures.
3. Oil Cleansing: Cleaning textured and recessed areas
Low-viscosity cleansing oil can penetrate between skin wrinkles, pore curvatures, and eyelashes. Through proper emulsification and rinsing, even microscopic gaps can be cleaned.
However, if there are already hardened, chronic blackheads or whiteheads blocking the pores, the oil cannot penetrate deep beneath them. This is why managing pores before they become fully clogged is essential.
